Edward O’Dell, D.O.

Dr. Edward O’Dell is board certified in Internal Medicine with a special interest in diabetes care and prevention, musculoskeletal injury care, and occupational medicine.  

Numerous sports injuries initially sparked his interest in musculoskeletal medicine and health. He obtained a B.S. degree from Montclair State College in 1986 with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and obtained his D.C. degree in December 1988. He obtained post-graduate certification in Sports Medicine from New York Chiropractic College in 1990. Dr. O’Dell owned and operated two Chiropractic practices in Carroll County, Maryland where he specialized in the conservative management of low back injuries and sports injuries.

Dr. O’Dell then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating with the Doctor of  Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. He did an internal medicine internship and residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital, in Norristown, PA.  He was awarded the Intern of the Year Honors while at Mercy Suburban Hospital. Dr. O’Dell purchased MedCenter100 from Brandywine Hospital in 2004. 

MedCenter100 has since reopened its immediate care “walk in” service line, grown its Occupational Medicine service as well as added a full-time physical therapy center to the practice. Dr. O’Dell serves as a consultant for numerous businesses and lectures regularly on a variety of health topics to employees in various industries throughout Chester County. He continues to work as a hospitalist on a per diem basis and serves on various hospital committees.
